Niško beer, a recognizable brand of beer from the south of Serbia, is the primary product of Niška pivara d.o.o. Niš, which started operating in 2015. Niška pivara is located in the Niš settlement of Apelovac, on the site where Jovan Appel built the first Niš industrial company in 1884 – Steam Brewery.
1884
Year 1884.
Beer was produced in Niš for the first time according to the recipe of Jovan Appel, who built the first Niš industrial company – Steam Brewery, with a capacity of 20 hectoliters per day.
2015
Year 2015.
The new owners buy the brewery in Niš, from bankruptcy, in August 2015, and a new legal entity “Niška pivara d.o.o.” Niš is established.
2016
Year 2016.
Niško beer appeared on the market in June 2016. Nurturing the spirit of traditional production and with new recipes, today it respects the top quality standards that its consumers deserve.
2018
YEAR 2018.
In March 2018, Niška Pivara presents to consumers a new visual identity “Niško” that follows modern trends and reflects the degree of commitment to every aspect of production.

YEAR 2020
New beer “Sindjelic”
July 1, 2020 is a very important date for Niška pivara because the new beer “Sindjelic” has officially appeared on the market!

YEAR 2020 – 2021.
Niška pivara has established itself as a company that wholeheartedly supports culture, art and events in Niš and the region, such as Film Meetings, Crossroads Theater, Evergreen Festival, Protector of the Fortress, Kerber Band, Niš Local Foundation, etc.
2022
YEAR 2021.
In January 2021, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia – RPK Nis awarded the annual award for special contribution to the economy of the region for 2020 to Niška pivara.
2022
YEAR 2021.
At the 88th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, the commission for evaluating the quality of beer and beer-like products, based on evaluated samples, awarded Niška pivara the highest grade in the competition of industrial beers and recognition “Champion of product group quality” for Niško beer.
